Auscott's largest single expansion was achieved with their move into the Gwydir Valley and the acquisition of the "Midkin" property in 1979.
The Midkin operation consists of major irrigation developments including the first of the company’s lateral move irrigation systems. A high capacity gin operates at the site servicing growers from the Moomin Creek in the south to the Macintyre River in the north.
