Gwydir Valley

Auscott’s largest single expansion was achieved with the company’s move into the Gwydir Valley and the acquisition of the ‘Midkin’ property in 1979.

The Midkin operation's major irrigation developments include the first of the company’s lateral move irrigation systems. The high capacity gin services growers from the Moomin Creek in the South to the Macintyre River in the North.

Auscott’s Gwydir Valley operation provides ginning and marketing services to many of its grower clients.

In addition, Auscott’s Gwydir Valley operations awards an academic scholarship to a local high school student on an annual basis, the Auscott Education Program Scholarship. This scholarship assists students to meet living and education expenses, as well as course fees.
